Has it really been more than a week since I posted? Wow. Talk about slacking. But I couldn't miss my beloved brownie mix Monday, so here it is...
Remember when I tried to make 'smore brownies and I failed? Well, folks... I think I nailed it this time. Here's what I did:
Made a graham cracker crust: I used one of the sleeves of graham crackers and ground them up in the food processor. Added a couple of tablespoons of sugar and one stick of melted butter. Pressed that into a 13x9 inch baking dish (in foresight, a 9x9 pan would have probably yielded better results, but whatever. What's done is done). I baked that at 350 until it was a few shades darker than it started (I find it annoying when a recipe says to bake something until it's golden brown when it was golden brown to begin with. Just a little pet peeve.)
Then I made my brownie mix. I poured half of the batter over the crust, placed 3 large milk chocolate candy bars on top, then the rest of the brownie batter. I baked according to the package directions. When they came out of the oven, I spread Fluff on them. It's easier to spread if the brownies are hot because it melts a bit. This time I torched the top because I wanted to have more control. Then Zak got a hold of the torch, if you can't tell.
Anyways, they were pretty divine. You should try them.
Does that mean no one else was allowed to eat them?
